56 Days
Ciara and Oliver met 56 Days ago at a supermarket in Dublin, the same week that COVID-19 hits Ireland. This chance encounter feels like something special. They go on a couple of dates and are really falling for each other. When the first lockdown hits, Oliver suggests they move in together to focus on their relationship for two weeks without any outside influences. But what happens when two people are stuck together for two straight weeks without knowing much about the other? A dead body is the result, but whose? They both had secrets and you know what they say, “two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead.”
I first fell in love with Howard’s writing in The Nothing Man and I jumped at the chance to read her latest. Even though I had a rough idea of what was going on with Ciara, I was still able to be surprised by the twist. I enjoyed the timeline jumps and the same story being told from both Ciara and Oliver’s perspectives. It gave a really rounded experience and reminds you that you don’t always get the whole story from one person. Perfect addition to your reading list!
