Meet the Reviewer: John Murray

John-MurrayQ. What is the best part of being a book reviewer?

A. The best part of being a book reviewer is being able to experience a variety of books and authors. Plus it combines my love of reading and writing with helping new readers find the perfect book.

Q. What is your all-time favorite book?

A. Choosing an all-time favorite book is difficult! I’d have to say The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver. It was the first book I read for English class, but I fell in love with it and reread it regularly.

Q. If you could be any fictional character, who would you be and why?

A. I wouldn’t mind taking the place of Thursday Next from Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series. In a world where fictional characters and people can jump in and out of books, she works to police literature and keep the stories on track. That sounds like a fantastic job and life.
